Life Skills Coaching

Guidance, Empowerment and Improvement

What is Life Skills Coaching?

A Life Coach can help with everyday situations that all of us face at some point in our lives. They offer specific help with techniques that can improve many aspects of modern life such as assertiveness, personal presentation, learning skills, leadership skills and how to improve personal and inter-personal relationships.

Life Skills Coaching has been used for many years in business and in sport to enable people to change their way of thinking in order to instil self belief, improve their performance and actively pursue their goals.

Life Skills Coaching helps Clients to acquire confidence in their own ability and to change how they look at themselves in relation to the rest of the world.    It can be effective in both a personal and a professional setting.

Successful Life Coaching is very dependent on the Client’s desire for change and their goals for personal development.   The Client will be supported in identifying these goals, which will then be broken down into achievable modules.  The Coach will offer strategies to overcome any setbacks and give motivational support so that the Client can remain committed to their chosen objective.

Life Skills Coaching offers the Client the opportunity to increase self confidence and thereby self esteem.    It offers achievable ways to help the Client to take control of their lives and to gain the drive and motivation to succeed in their chosen goal.

What to expect

At you first appointment Julia will look to gain an overall picture of your life and together identify a specific area that is causing you difficulties or that you are seeking to improve.  This may be in your leisure time or in your personal or professional life.  The fee is set at an introductory rate of £20.00 with the session lasting 50 minutes.

If it is agreed that further sessions will be of benefit and help you towards improved self-confidence and self-belief, then each following session will be set at £30.00 and again last 50 minutes in duration.

As you and Julia look at your particular problem or goal, you will be taught how to prioritise and organise, initiate change, avoid barriers to achieving your goals and effectively handle change.

Julia may challenge your thinking that can inhibit the realisation of your goals and prevent you from realising your potential for problem solving.  Julia will offer you techniques to make these tasks more effective.

The time that you and Julia spend together will be in absolute confidence.  If at any time you do not wish to continue, then this will be respected.  Should you wish to return at any future time, then you should feel welcome to do so.

Through working together with Julia the aim is to realise your potential in the areas that have been identified and empower you to think differently, so that you can feel and act differently.

Julia will support and encourage you to increase your confidence, assertiveness and personal effectiveness, which will encourage you to think very positively about achieving the goal of a productive and happy life.
