Lymphatic Drainage Massage is a specialised type of massage used in conjunction with other methods to help control the symptoms of lymphodeama.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage involves the application of gentle pressure to the skin to
open the lymph vessels helping to move lymph fluid away from the affected area into an area where the lymphatic system is working normally to reduce the swelling. It can be undertaken manually or by an Intermittent Pneumatic Compression machine. The Centre offers Clients the choice of either form of treatment.
The number and spacing of treatments will depend upon the amount of swelling and type of Lymphatic Drainage Massage technique used. This will be discussed with Clients at their first appointment.
Clients will also be taught self care techniques including a simplified version of Manual Lymphatic Drainage, exercises and breathing techniques to help self manage the condition.

Follow up appointments: £70
We respectfully advise Clients wishing to book a Lymphatic Drainage Massage appointment that a deposit equal to the cost of the treatment is to be paid at time of booking.
If you should need to cancel or reschedule your appointment please provide a minimum of 24 hours notice. Failure to do so or failure to attend the appointment will render the deposit non refundable.
