Sports Injuries can occur through a variety of ways whether from direct impact causing an acute injury, through overuse/repetitive strain or a biomechanical imbalance causing a chronic injury such as tendonitis.
At the Medi-Train Centre our Medical Clinicians are vastly experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of sports injuries and pride themselves in returning Clients quickly and safely back to their chosen sporting activity.
We treat everyone from those who participate in sport purely for leisure purposes through to the serious athlete. Our Clients comprise of those who engage in running, golf, swimming, rugby, football, dance, cycling and boxing.
The Centre has the benefit of an On-Site Diagnostic Ultrasound Scanner which offers a valuable contribution to aiding in the diagnosis and subsequent treatment of sports injuries.
For those Clients suffering a sports injury as a result of a biomechanical dysfunction (imbalance of the body’s muscles and joints) we offer, as part of treatment, a musculoskeletal screening analysis and from this an individually tailored exercise programme will be devised to help address the dysfunction to prevent further reoccurrences of injury.
The treatment provided by our Medical Clinicians is further complimented by our Sports Massage Therapists and Medical Pilates Instructors, the latter of whom provide invaluable input in helping to address biomechanical dysfunction.
